Cute story- At most schools it is pretty common to have cake sales every week or
so.At one such occasion a little boy,probably about six or seven liked the look
of the chicken pies at the sale.Before buying it he asked the teacher at the
stand that he really wants to buy the chicken pie but he wants to know if the
chicken was a muslim before it died :) I guess it was his understanding of what
halaaal means.very cute.Children make being a teacher worthwhile,no doubt.After
university I had no idea what I wanted to do,upon my fathers suggestion I
decided to take a bit of a break and teach at a school.I actually love it and am
often ridiculed for my choice,I always hear what a waste my degree is if I'm
just teaching.Its sad that we view teaching as a mediocre profession,I myself
never thought of myself teaching when I was in varsiity or at the conclusion of
my matric.What I realised was that teachers give birth to all other professi...

I am a always pleased to listen to your shows on Radion Islam. My duas are with
you and your staff. As a white revert to Islam it is always good to hear good,
clean shows. The power of Hope is only in Islam! "... and you will

We were very glad to have the Shaikh Suleman Ravat in Canada for an Islamic
conference Path to Piety. His lectures were very inspiring.From his biography I
learnt about radio Islam and now listen to it everyday. Alhumdulillah your
programs are very good. may Allah reward you all.

The more I read and discover about Islam the more I find that Islam has the
solution to every problem and the divine laws given to us to abide by Allah
Tallah and rasoolulah (saw) are for our salvation and overall benefit for this
world and the hereafter.I was reading a medical piece by the Canadian Medical
Association about the newly discovered health risks of wearing tight clothing.As
muslims we are fully aware that tight clothing is prohibited particularly for
women but now 1400 laters we have proof that wearing loose fitting clothing
strengthens and is healthy for our bodies.Some of the severe health problems
that can arise from tight clothing are 1) Nerve condition called parasthesia a
burning sensation under hip bone,Tingling Thigh Syndrome,Back pain,Yeast
infections for women,Acid reflux due to the increased pressure by the tight
clothing,constipation tight pants slows down the digestive process,headaches and
blurred...

Will it be possible to repeat your last week programme on signs of qiyamah? My
mother who is in Lusaka zambia had been following all the programmes but missed
last weeks. She wants to now what is meant to be happen in 2012?

This mornings Sabaahul Muslim program, Hazrat AB Dawjee spoke
about the 1991 bombings in Iraq. As Hazrat said the incident, like many others,
brings tears to the eyes. I request that this be put on the "heard on air
section", so that one and all may listen...

There are ofcorse alot of goings on at our wedding functions that are totally
against Islam and remains ugly and wrong even if you drench it in perfume trying
to make it acceptable.At a recent wedding I finally had it with the wearing of
saris at wedding functions. We know that we are not suppose to imitate the dress
of the unbelievers.What adds insult to injury is that the saris have become more
and more revealing.Please people,look at yourself in the mirror.Adding a hijab
to a sari does not make it acceptable!I attended a wedding and sat at a table
with few of my non muslim friends,and they expressed how completely confused
they were because all the ladies,ranging from teens to grannies were dressed in
saris and as far as they knew the sari was the traditional dress of Indians not
of muslims.Do you blame them for the confusion? Clearly we do not identify
ourselves as being muslim first and fore most and furthermore showing the...
