This year’s theme is “PERSONALISE YOUR CUISINE” by being spontaneous, daring, and innovative in your style of preparing any type of food.

Your recipes should be innovative, adventurous, original, exciting, exquisitely presented that will leave your and our taste buds yearning for more!

This year we need you to bring in your presentation to Radio Islam’s premises by 11 o’ clock on the day of the competition.

Your presentation will be judged by originality, good taste and excellent presentation.

 

These are the categories and the dates of the July 2010 Recipe competition:

WEEK 1
•    Food on the go (salads & snacks-NO SAVOURIES)  TUESDAY 6th July 2010
•    Foods from around the world  THURSDAY 8th July 2010

WEEK 2
•    Frugal foods (inexpensive- use what you have at home!) TUESDAY 13th July 2010
•    Do you fancy something sweet? (Show us what you can create: Cakes, deserts, anything sweet) THURSDAY  15th July 2010

WEEK 3
•    Thirst Quenchers (drinks hot or cold) TUESDAY 20th July 2010
•    Spruce up your fruit (fruit arrangements) THURSDAY 22nd July 2010

WEEK 4
•    Healthy Sehri  TUESDAY 27th July 2010
•    Health Iftaar  THURSDAY 29th July 2010

 

 

RULES OF THE COMPETITION

1. Competition is open to all besides Radio Islam’s staff members.
2. Judges decision is final.
3. Participants cannot pull out at the last minute.
4. Participants enter at their own risk - we are not responsible for any damage or loss of any items during the competitions.
5. All dishes must be marked clearly and must be collected by the person entering the competition.
6. All presentations must be in by 11 o clock on the day of the competition.
7. Judging will take place at 1.00 o clock on the day of the competition. – InshaAllah
8. Recipes must be clearly hand written or typed and must accompany all meals. If there is no recipe entrants will automatically be disqualified.
9. Enter in as many categories as you wish.
